A DAY EXPLORING THE DELIGHTS OF MAKING SIMPLE BOOKS.

Workshop: Paper is a tactile, versatile, everyday and extraordinary material. In this introductory workshop you will learn the basics of folding and cutting a single section and sewing to form a basic pamphlet and then progress to single section hard back binding with decorated paper covers.
At the end of the workshop you will have bound:
Pamphlet - A simple single section book with bright stitching.
Flush cut binding - A single sewn section with decorated paper covered boards and cloth at the spine; flush cut
¼ bound case binding - A single sewn section with boards: Cloth at the spine and decorated paper at the boards
Time: The workshop starts at 10:30am prompt and will finish at 4:30pm.
Lunch: Lunch is included within the price of the workshop. Please let us know when booking if you have any dietary requirements.
What to bring: Glasses if you need them for close work and please ensure you wear sturdy, fully enclosed shoes.
